TED HARVEY, JR., born Marfa, Texas, June 8, 1943; admitted to bar 1968, Illinois; also admitted to practice before U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit, U.S. District Court, Southern and Central Districts of Illinois. Prepatory and Legal Education: University of Illinois (A.B. 1965, J.D. 1968). Fraternities: Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif. Experience: He has been with the firm since 1968, and has tried numerous lawsuits for the defense, including, but not limited to, vehicular accident cases, premises liability cases, toxic tort cases, products liability cases (i.e. ladders, lawnmowers, vehicle design, clothes dryer, conveyor system, cranes, etc.), general negligence cases, medical malpractice cases, construction accident cases, Structural Work Act cases, and commercial litigation, including contracts, receiverships, corporate disputes, and fraud. He has handled approximately 2500 lawsuits in Madison County, Illinois, involving claims of asbestos related disease. He tried the first case to conclusion in the fall of 1988, and after a five week trial, his client received a "not guilty" verdict, whereas another defendant was assessed damages of $2.5 million. Since then he has tried many other asbestos cases to "not guilty" verdicts on behalf of his client.

He recently concluded the successful defense of a civil Rico case, and settled a low impact Auto case for the plaintiff for $450,000. He also has handled numerous will and trust cases.
